MY background
Scott Aaron Hartmann is an award‑winning filmmaker, educator, and advocate for underrepresented voices, dedicated to empowering the next generation of storytellers. An enrolled member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, he brings more than a decade of global teaching experience—from Hollywood to Abu Dhabi and Paris—where he has mentored students through every stage of the filmmaking process. His own films have earned international recognition, and some of his greatest successes are the continued achievements of his students, who have become award‑winning filmmakers and working production professionals across the industry. Scott’s work and teaching center on cultural representation, narrative integrity, and the belief that storytelling can bridge communities and inspire meaningful change.
