It's a difficult thing, to lean to a friend and be sluffed off,

as if I were a an unnecessary bag for the friend to endure.

Based from malice or obliviousness means little

to the person crumbling from a lack of compassion.

Open your eyes and see if this is your friend,

worth enduring their pain,

or someone distant enough from you

that the cries you leave behind

will not touch with feeling.
